Burden of proof

The existence of God is not a thing to argue, in my view but a reality to live out. We spend too much time on intellectual debates about creation and evolution, God or no God. The burden of proof should rest on the shoulders of those who claim there is God because if God exists, he should at least be able to act on behalf of those who believe in him, for all to see. There is no point arguing that God created Mars and Pluto and the dinousaurs and living things and non living things. There are ample opportunities to prove God exists and is precisely what his word claims he is, in the life and immediate environment of each individual who claims to believe in God.

The way to prove that God exists and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him, is to diligently seek him. The way to let the world see and glorify the Invisible God, is to let our light so shine before the world so that our good works may be evident. This is a God whose word says “O taste and see that the Lord is good…” It is either this bible is truth or it is not. If it is true, let’s believe it and live it. If it is not true, let’s just junk it and hold on to something else. We are not left with much options before a book that claims to be the very inspired words of God.

If we claim God is good, why don’t we get ourselves engaged in good works, which the world is so desperately in need of? Why should we or our God be believed when he seemingly can’t even act on our behalf? The truth is we are the ones just busy playing church and being religious instead of acting on God’s behalf and being God’s offsprings that we really are. If we act on God’s word and on God’s behalf as a way of life, we will not need to argue for God, we will be living proofs of everything the scriptures say about God and us because he will show himself, mightily on our behalf.

The scriptures say, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” We are recreated to display the visible manifestations of the invisible God.

It should not be a strange thing for example, for a believer in God to be totally healed of cancer, HIV or any other incurable disease. It should not be strange for a believer in God who was a down and out, uneducated beggar before he came into the family, to become a provider of gainful employment to thousands of people within one year. To outsiders, these are miraculous occurences but to those in the family, things of this nature should be daily bread and they are. A few believers are experiencing these kinds of things but they are available to all who believe. The scriptures set forth simple but exceeding great and precious promises, which if fulfilled in our lives, will make us partakers of God’s very nature, not just spiritually in heavenly places but right here and now where we live, work and play.

The world classifies natural disasters as acts of God, but I think people will begin to see true acts of God when his offsprings begin to act on his behalf rather than debating and claiming to believe in God. If we really believed and lived out our beliefs, I think people will conclude like they concluded for Joseph and Daniel in the bible, that we are people in whom is the spirit of the gods, without us having to say we believe in God. We have a very long way to go, all of us who claim to believe.

I am presently facing a situation before which my humanity falls flat. The situation calls for my divine nature to rise to the fore, to obtain the daily bread of divine healing, by acting on God’s word and on God’s behalf. If I do it right, it will add to my personal proofs of God’s goodness. I fully intend to do it right and I will proclaim it when it becomes evident, like I have proclaimed others in this blog. Life is getting more exciting by the day.
